Union Ministers, including Amit Shah, Dr S Jaishankar, Piyush Goyal, Nirmala Sitharaman and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, among others have wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the longest continuous-serving elected Prime Minister of India.
In a social media post, Home Minister Amit Shah said that these 12 years of Prime Minister Modi have been about restoring India’s pride, cultural renaissance, and freeing the nation from the mentality of servitude. He noted that during this period, the new Parliament was constructed, three new laws were implemented, the new education policy paved the way for medical and engineering education in mother tongues, and Atmanirbhar Bharat became the resolve of every Indian.
Mr Shah underlined that during Mr Modi’s tenure, the country’s borders were secured, Article 370 was abrogated in Kashmir, the Ram Temple was built, Naxalism was eradicated, and terrorism was reined in with a befitting response to every terror incident. He added that the collective strength of the nation learned to take pride in its heritage, culture, and capabilities by emerging from feelings of inferiority.
The Home Minister asserted that ensuring the safety of the citizens and restoring their lost self-respect and honour is the Prime Minister’s greatest achievement. Mr Shah noted that today, the new India is confidently establishing its identity on every global platform, and the world is witnessing the rise of a capable, powerful, and new India.
In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar noted that this achievement reflects the enduring trust and confidence that the people of India placed in PM Modi’s leadership, vision and commitment to national development.
Mr Goyal said that over the last 12 years, PM Modi’s leadership has ushered in transformative reforms that have reshaped India’s growth journey. He added that from farmers to entrepreneurs, women to MSMEs, and youth to the middle class, the benefits of every major initiative introduced under the Modi Government have reached the grassroots level, empowering crores across the country. Mr Goyal noted that as the country continues to achieve many more milestones across diverse sectors, the vision, foresight and stewardship of PM Modi remain central to the nation’s journey.
Ms Sitharaman added that during this period, the NDA government under PM Modi has delivered bold reforms and has implemented several initiatives with unprecedented pace and scale. She emphasised that Prime Minister Modi provided decisive and strong leadership through a series of challenging times that the nation has faced.
The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister said that the journey of 4 thousand 399 days is a golden chapter in the construction of an empowered, prosperous, developed, and self-reliant India. Mr Chouhan asserted that this is the Modi era, where there is both development and heritage.
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav, Power Minister Manohar Lal, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal have also congratulated Prime Minister Modi.
