Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has extended greetings on World Camel Day. In a social media post, Mr Shekhawat said the camel is not merely a useful creature for a livelihood but also a symbol of the culture and traditions of India, particularly in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Referring to the camel as the ship of the desert, the Minister urged people to consider it their ideal companion. He said that attachment to carriers of culture leads society towards preservation.
