Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale today visited Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar and met Sant Niranjan Das Ji Maharaj. Speaking about his visit, Mr. Athawale recalled the contribution of Sant Ravidas Ji, who worked against the caste system and promoted social unity and equality.

 

Mr. Athawale said Sant Niranjan Das Ji Maharaj is carrying forward this legacy by working towards social harmony and unity in society. He also said he has great respect for the work being carried out by Sant Niranjan Das Ji Maharaj and the Dera.

 

Mr Athawale is on a day-long visit to Punjab today. In Ludhiana, the Minister will be meeting industrialists and representatives of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises.
