Union Minister Piyush Goyal calls upon youth to bring fresh perspectives to country’s policies through innovative ideas

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has emphasised that the country’s youth must actively participate in India’s development journey by bringing fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a strong sense of purpose to policymaking. Addressing the Dilli Dialogue 2026 in New Delhi today, Mr Goyal highlighted India’s resilience and growth trajectory despite global challenges. Mr Goyal stated that India’s market of 1.4 billion people, coupled with its young population, is a significant strength. He pointed out that while several economies are facing ageing populations, India’s average age remains below 30 and is expected to stay so over the next three decades. He further expressed confidence that India’s economy would reach 30 trillion US dollars by 2047.

The Minister expressed his confidence in India’s future and the energy and aspirations of youth. He said their ambition and determination make them not merely inheritors of India’s growth story, but its architects, driving Bharat towards a future of greater prosperity.
