Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has announced the approval of 256.7 crore rupees for the construction of six roads in Mizoram. Gadkari made the announcement through his social media account, stating that the roads, with a combined length of 82.89 km, would be constructed under the Central Road Infrastructure Scheme.

 

The Union Minister said the construction of roads across the country was driving development and that efforts were being made to improve connectivity in remote and poorly connected areas so that residents could also benefit from development. Improved road connectivity, he said, would create livelihood opportunities and bring about progress in education, trade, healthcare and living standards.
