Union Minister of Power Manohar Lal today chaired the Forum of Regulators meeting with Chairpersons of all State Electricity Regulatory Commissions and Joint Electricity Regulatory Commissions in New Delhi. During the meeting, he stressed that a transparent, predictable, and responsive regulatory framework is vital to ensuring reliable, quality power supply, faster grievance redressal, and promoting Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living. The Power Minister deliberated on advancing key regulatory reforms to strengthen the power sector, improve the financial and operational performance of Distribution Companies, and ensure timely, consumer-centric service delivery. He added, a strong regulatory ecosystem will be instrumental in building an efficient, resilient, and future-ready power sector.
