Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has emphasised the need to preserve the traditional culture and natural environment of Arunachal Pradesh while promoting tourism, infrastructure development and prosperity in the state.
Mr Rijiju was speaking at the release of the three-volume book series, Arunachal: The Sap Runs Perennial, authored by Shiv Kunal Verma, in New Delhi yesterday. Mr Rijiju highlighted the rich cultural diversity, heritage and strategic importance of Arunachal Pradesh. He said the book series would help readers gain a deeper understanding of the state’s history, culture, geography and immense tourism potential.
The Minister noted that Arunachal Pradesh offers diverse experiences, including nature tourism and adventure activities such as mountaineering. He expressed hope that the books would encourage more people to explore the state.Mr Rijiju also highlighted infrastructure development in remote border areas, stating that improved connectivity was bringing development to the region and benefiting local communities. He said the development of Arunachal Pradesh was important for the country.
