Union Minister for Civil Aviation K Ram Mohan Naidu has called upon newly recruited government employees to make public service and contribution to national development their foremost priority.
The Union Minister handed over appointment letters to 200 newly recruited candidates at the 20th Rozgar Mela held at the Kala Vani Auditorium, Port Stadium, Visakhapatnam, today.
Speaking in the occasion, Mr Naidu said securing a Central Government job is a matter of pride, as lakhs of youth aspire for such opportunities. He urged the newly recruited employees to remember the support and sacrifices of their parents and families.
The Minister advised them to continue learning, upgrade their skills and set higher goals even after securing a government job. He also stressed the need to identify gaps in the system and work with senior officials to address them.
He said government employees should work in a way that strengthens people’s trust in the government system. The Minister also called upon the youth to keep pace with emerging technologies and prepare for future requirements.
The programme was attended by Visakhapatnam MP M Sribharat, CBIC Chief Commissioner N. Sridhar, Income Tax Chief Commissioner Danda Srinivas and other senior officials.
