West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari today met Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in New Delhi. In a social media post, Mr Chouhan said that both leaders discussed the issues related to rural development, agriculture welfare, effective implementation of VB-G-RAM-G, and accelerating development schemes in the interest of farmers.
The Minister claimed that over the past years, the benefits of many public welfare schemes have not reached the people of the state as expected. He further added that due to irregularities in schemes of rural development and MGNREGA, the pace of development was also affected.
The Minister said that both leaders have also decided to prepare a scientific roadmap for West Bengal to ensure that the villages, farmers, and agriculture can move forward with new momentum.
