Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi said that the hypothetical distance between Tripura and New Delhi has significantly reduced since the Narendra Modi-led government came to power, leading to faster development across the northeastern region through improved connectivity.
Speaking to reporters after a review meeting of the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education at the State Guest House in Agartala today, the Minister said the Centre is committed to the vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, ensuring that welfare schemes reach the last person in society.
She said the Modi government has been working with dedication over the past 12 years to strengthen connectivity, improve infrastructure and accelerate the overall development of the North East. Enhanced communication has also enabled the youth of Tripura to interact with the culture, traditions and lifestyle of other parts of the country, contributing to their intellectual growth.
