Union Minister Amit Shah reiterates government’s commitment to identify and deport illegal immigrants from country

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has reiterated the government’s firm commitment to identify and deport every illegal immigrant from the country. Addressing a public rally after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for various developmental projects worth Rs 340 Crore in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency today, Mr Shah emphasised that the government is committed to securing the borders and eradicating illegal immigration in the country. During his address, the Home Minister also congratulated the West Bengal government for swiftly providing 600 hectares of land to the Border Security Force within a week.
 
On the occasion of his birth anniversary, Mr Shah recalled the immense contributions of Veer Savarkar, highlighting his supreme sacrifice and lifelong dedication to the motherland. The minister, who is on a three-day visit to Gujarat, today inaugurated several public amenities developed under corporate social responsibility initiatives, including the Jedva village lake, newly built libraries, and new primary school buildings. In the evening, Mr Shah will inaugurate a new hostel building at the Mata Umiya Dham complex at Sola and the ‘Bharat Mata Square’ at Bhimjipura in Ahmedabad. Later, the Home Minister will chair a high-level review meeting at the Shahibaug Circuit House to assess infrastructure readiness for the upcoming Olympic, Commonwealth, and World Police and Fire Games.
