Ukraine launched more than 1,000 drones at Russia overnight, including hundreds targeting Moscow. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called it the largest-ever drone attack on the capital, reporting damage to an oil refinery and a residential building. Mr Sobyanin said, two people were killed and 20 injured in the attcak across wider Moscow region. Russia’s Ministry of Defence said, its forces shot down 1,100 Ukrainian drones across the country.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, Kyiv had used a range of missiles and drones in the attack, including Ukraine’s domestically made Flamingo and Pelican missiles to hit oil and logistics facilities.
Both Russia and Ukraine have continued to hit energy infrastructure targets in the past week, despite US President Donald Trump claiming on social media that the two sides had agreed not to do so.
