Two tremors measuring 3.3 and 4.5 magnitude hit Maharashtra’s Hingoli district

Two tremors measuring 3.3 and 4.5 on the Richter scale struck parts of Maharashtra’s Hingoli district within a span of two hours this morning. According to the district disaster management cell, the first tremor, accompanied by a rumbling sound, was recorded at around 7.46 am, with its epicentre near Gadhala village in Aundha Nagnath tehsil, at a depth of 7 km. A stronger tremor measuring 4.5 magnitude followed about two hours later and was felt in several parts of the district. Residents of Pimpaldari and neighbouring areas reported hearing rumbling sounds for a few minutes before the second tremor. No casualties or property damage were reported. The district administration has appealed to residents not to panic and to remain alert.
