Two people lost their lives after a four-storey commercial building collapsed near Saket Metro Station in South Delhi last evening. According to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), ten victims were brought to the Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre for treatment.
Of them, two were declared brought dead on arrival, while three are in critical condition and undergoing treatment. The remaining five patients are stable and under observation.
Speaking on the incident, Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta has said that strict action will be taken against all such unauthorised buildings.
