In Gujarat, six people, including a nine-year-old child, have died in an accident between a truck and a private bus in Vadodara. Twenty-seven others were injured and shifted to SSG Hospital in Vadodara for treatment.

The accident occurred around 4 am near Kotambi Stadium when a bus travelling from Banswara to Surat collided with a stationary truck. On receiving information, teams from the SDRF, NDRF, police and Vadodara Fire Department reached the spot and rescued the injured.

During the rescue operation, 24 people were pulled out safely, while five bodies were recovered and shifted to the hospital. Commandant Surendra Singh of NDRF’s 6th Battalion said the team is currently checking if anyone is still trapped in the bus.
