Tripura Police arrest three women in cannabis smuggling case

In Tripura, Police in East Agartala have arrested three women allegedly involved in cannabis smuggling during an operation near Jogendranagar Railway Station today. East Agartala Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Krishnadhan Sarkar said the three arrested women are residents of Bihar. According to police, they had gathered near Jogendranagar Railway Station to transport cannabis outside the state by train.
 
Police reportedly recovered cannabis worth around 7 lakh rupees from their possession. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway.
