Tripura Police today arrested three Bangladeshi women and an Indian national for allegedly entering India illegally in the Agartala Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport area. According to Airport Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shyamal Debnath, one man and three women were spotted moving suspiciously in the airport area at around 3:30 PM.
They were detained and questioned by the police. During interrogation, police found that the three women were residents of Khulna district in Bangladesh. The Indian national was allegedly taking them, after their illegal entry into Tripura from Bangladesh, to Guwahati by air. All four were subsequently arrested and are scheduled to be produced before a court tomorrow.
