In Tripura, the state-level launch of the Viksit Bharat-G RAM-G (Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission-Grameen) was held in Agartala today, in line with the national launch at Tirupati by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Speaking on the occasion, State Labour Minister Tinku Roy said the new scheme guarantees up to 125 days of wage employment annually for every eligible rural household. He described it as a major step towards strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting self-reliance. He said the Centre has approved an interim allocation of over 1,041 crore rupees for Tripura during the current financial year, while the State has sought 482 crore rupees for the July-September 2026 work plan.
