Tripura Hands Over Keys to 278 Flats Under Lighthouse Housing Project

In Tripura, the keys to 278 flats under the Lighthouse Housing Project were handed over to beneficiaries at a ceremony in Agartala today.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha formally handed over the keys on the occasion.
Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal addressed the programme virtually.

He said the project was launched in 2019 under the Global Housing Technology initiative and implemented in six cities across the country.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the remaining flats would be completed soon. He said the project would help fulfil the dream of affordable and permanent housing for citizens.

Each flat measures 30 square metres, or around 320 square feet, and costs 20 lakh rupees. Beneficiaries contribute 5.40 lakh rupees per flat, while the Central and State governments bear the remaining cost.
