Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu pays tribute to freedom fighters on 80th Independence Day

Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu paid heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters on the 80th Independence Day, recalling their supreme sacrifices and urging people to draw inspiration from their courage, patriotism and dedication. On the occasion, the Governor paid floral tributes at the martyrs’ memorials at the Circuit House, Gandhi Ghat and Albert Ekka Memorial Park in Agartala this morning. He said the sacrifices of those who gave their lives for the country should inspire citizens to resolve to build a stronger and prosperous India.

 

The Governor stressed the need to strengthen the values of national unity, integrity, equality and fraternity. He highlighted Tripura’s important role in the nation’s development, citing its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and tradition of peaceful coexistence. He urged the state’s youth to utilise their energy, talent and creativity for the progress of Tripura and the country. He also called for collective efforts to promote education, entrepreneurship, sports, environmental conservation and social harmony.

 

The Governor said building a peaceful, prosperous and developed India is the responsibility of every citizen. At Albert Ekka Memorial Park, Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath was also present with the Governor.
