Tripura CM Manik Saha hoists National Flag at state-level 80th Independence Day celebrations

Tripura joined the nation in celebrating the 80th Independence Day with various programmes across the state. The main state-level function was held at Assam Rifles Ground in Agartala this morning, where Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha hoisted the national flag and inspected the ceremonial parade by various forces.
 
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha and Director General of Police G.S. Rao were present at the programme, along with a large gathering of students, youths and citizens.
 
Addressing the people, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha extended Independence Day greetings and said the occasion symbolises the resolve to build a self-reliant and developed India. He paid tribute to the brave martyrs of the freedom struggle and the nation’s builders.
 
The Chief Minister highlighted India’s socio-economic progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that India has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economic power with a $4-trillion economy.
 
Dr. Saha urged all Tripura residents to work towards building a developed Tripura alongside a developed India by 2047.
