Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha urged citizens, particularly Gen-Z youth and students, to uphold the dignity of the national flag and remember the painful history of Partition.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a programme held at Maharaja BirBikram College in Agartala, today, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
He said, the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, launched in 2022 following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, has evolved into a mass movement and created a strong wave of patriotism across the country. He highlighted the sacrifices of freedom fighters associated with the national flag.
The Chief Minister also recalled the painful memories of Partition and stressed the importance of remembering the suffering caused by the division of the country.
Later, he flagged off a Har Ghar Tiranga march from the college premises with students.
