Tribal Affairs Ministry organises National Conclave on Constitutional Rights and Legal Provisions in New Delhi

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs today organised a National Conclave on Constitutional Rights and Legal Provisions for Tribal Communities in New Delhi. Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram inaugurated the two-day conclave.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stressed the importance of understanding the challenges faced by the communities from the field-level officials, which will enable the central government to come up with solutions and practical guidelines. He urged participants to share their experiences and best practices, enabling others to learn from one another on matters relating to the constitutional rights and safeguards of tribal communities.

More than 75 delegates from around 30 states and UTs are attending the conclave. The Ministry said that the conclave is expected to contribute towards strengthening the implementation of constitutional safeguards and promoting effective, transparent and accessible protection and services for tribal communities.
