Prasar Bharati Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gaurav Dwivedi today said that transparency, fairness, accountability and integrity in day-to-day work strengthen both the organisation and the trust reposed in it by citizens. Sharing his message on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week, Mr Dwivedi noted that for Prasar Bharati, probity is not limited to vigilance procedures alone, but is reflected in the way decisions are taken, public resources are managed, due process is followed, records are maintained and responsibilities are discharged as India’s Public Service Broadcaster. He also highlighted that preventive vigilance requires continuous improvement of systems, reduction of avoidable discretion, strengthening of accountability and the use of technology to make processes more transparent and efficient.
Mr Dwivedi urged the organisation to make “Probity for Prosperity”, the theme of this year’s Vigilance Awareness week, a part of its everyday working culture, rather than merely an observance for one week. The CEO also called upon every member of the Prasar Bharati family to reaffirm their commitment to the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct.
