Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has extended his greetings on the occasion of World Tourism Day. In a social media post, Mr Shekhawat said, tourism today is not just about traveling to various places; it is also becoming a powerful foundation for employment, the local economy, and development.

He added that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, extensive efforts are underway to transform tourism into an economic powerhouse for a ‘Developed India.’ Mr Shekhawat said that country’s rich heritage, culture, and natural diversity should become a means of new opportunities for millions of youth in the country. He urged everyone to strengthen the resolve to make India the world’s leading tourism destination.
