In Tamil Nadu, the Regional met department has predicted heavy rains at isolated places over Chennai Thiruvallur Chengalpet Kanchipuram Villupuram and Cuddalore for the next two days. Owing to the low pressure over central parts of South Bay of Bengal and the associated upper air cyclonic circulation a well-marked low pressure is likely to be formed tomorrow in the Bay of Bengal squally weather and rains are expected. Fishermen have been advised to stay away from Tamil Nadu coast adjoining Comorin and the Gulf of Mannar.
As the North East Monsoon is very active the State has witnessed widespread surplus rainfall in almost all the districts already.
