Three young Baloch men have reportedly gone missing following separate overnight operations in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, according to local media and rights groups.
The incidents were reported in the Kech and Gwadar districts, where families allege that security personnel detained the men and took them to undisclosed locations without providing any legal explanation. Human rights group PAANK said one of the missing persons is a student who was allegedly detained in Gwadar on July 1.
The organisation has expressed concern over his safety. The reported cases add to longstanding allegations of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, which Pakistan’s security agencies have previously denied.
