In Ukraine, three people were killed and over 12 others are injured after Russia launched an overnight missile and drone attack on Kyiv. Mayor of Kyiv Vitalii Klitschko said, a five-storey residential building in the Solomianskyi district was damaged by falling debris, with people believed to be trapped inside. A fire also broke out in the courtyard. He said another residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district partially collapsed, leaving more people trapped. 

 

The attack came two days after a large-scale Russian missile and drone strike across Ukraine killed 10 civilians and injured more than 50 others. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has renewed his call for more Patriot air defence systems from the United States and other Western allies to help counter Russian missile attacks.
