In Thailand, a 14-year-old student shot and killed seven people in Nonthaburi province northwest of Bangkok. According to the officials, the shooter killed five staff members at a high school before taking his own life. The shooter also killed his two grandparents at their home prior to the school attack.
Deputy Interior Minister Polapee Suwunchwee said, the shooting occurred at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi province. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed the shooter’s age and said the boy, who lived with his grandparents, had exhibited stress related to school. Police said the small, compact weapon used in the attack was legally registered to the kid’s grandfather. Bangyai Hospital reported that 23 people were injured, with 10 in critical condition, primarily from gunshot wounds.
