The Ministry of Textiles will inaugurate the exhibition ‘Worlds Within Cloth: New Orders of Woven Making’ on August 5 in New Delhi. The exhibition will remain open to the public from 6th to 19th August between 11 AM and 6 PM as part of the celebrations leading upto the 12th National Handloom Day on August 7th.

The Ministry informed that the exhibition will bring together contemporary textile artists, designers and craft collectives whose practices expand the understanding of handlooms beyond their material form. The Ministry added that through research-driven works, artist-artisan collaborations and immersive installations, the exhibition will examine the social, historical and cultural contexts of textile-making.
