Telangana signs cooperation agreement with Germany’s Thuringia

Telangana state has signed a cooperation agreement with Thuringia, a state in Germany. The agreement focuses on technology, skill training, startups, and life sciences. Minister-President Mario Voigt of Thuringia met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad. Voigt praised Telangana’s rapid economic growth and called it a leading centre for progress and innovation in India. The Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, emphasised the need for skill training programmes suitable for the age of artificial intelligence. He said Telangana wants to train workers for countries like Germany, Japan, and South Korea.

The Chief Minister sought support from Thuringia to improve skill training in universities and technical institutes. He also requested help in establishing a German language training centre in Hyderabad. Minister-President Voigt agreed to create customised skill training programmes for Telangana. He said Thuringia’s industry and universities would collaborate with Telangana institutions. Minister D. Sridhar Babu noted that several global semiconductor companies already operate in Hyderabad. He added that Telangana is advancing towards semiconductor manufacturing.
