Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated the newly constructed Komuravelli Railway Station in Telangana today, marking a significant boost for commuters and devotees visiting the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple. Built at a cost of six crore rupees under the Manoharabad-Kothapalli new railway line project, the station has been equipped with modern amenities reflecting the cultural heritage of the temple. Regular DEMU train services between Secunderabad and Siddipet will now have a scheduled halt at Komuravelli, benefiting students, traders and pilgrims through affordable travel facilities.
After the inauguration, the Minister purchased the first ticket issued at the station and travelled on the inaugural train along with passengers up to Gajwel. Highlighting railway development in Telangana, Mr Reddy said several projects, including track doubling, electrification, safety systems like KAVACH and station modernisation, are underway in the state. He thanked railway officials and local representatives for completing the station within the scheduled timeframe.
