Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has said that the state government is working in a planned manner to introduce a ‘Digital Assembly’ and ‘Digital Council’ soon.

Speaking at the AI Transformation Conclave Telangana held at ITC Kakatiya in Begumpet yesterday, the Minister said emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Data Analytics and Quantum Computing will be given greater importance in governance. He said the government is taking several steps to make public services more efficient and accessible to citizens. Digital Cabinet, a Real-Time Government Dashboard connecting 20 departments, AI-based Data Exchange, and delivery of citizen services through WhatsApp are among the major digital governance initiatives.

The Minister said Telangana is emerging as a role model for other states in digital governance. He announced that blockchain-based certificates would soon be introduced to ensure better security of citizens’ data. He said the government aims to provide high-speed digital connectivity to all rural areas through T-Fiber. Steps are also being taken to deliver government services directly to the homes of elderly and differently-abled persons. The Minister said the Digital Office project will enable paperless administration in all government offices across the state.
