Telangana: IMD issues Red Alert of very heavy rains and extremely heavy rain spells in five districts for next three days

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a Red Alert of heavy to very heavy rains and extremely heavy rain spells at isolated places in  Five districts of Telangana for the next three days. These districts include Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Janagaon in the state. The Met officials also issued Orange Alert of heavy to very heavy rains to 7 more districts including Karimnagar, Peddapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Siddipet, Kamareddy of Telangana. The met officials informed that gale up to a speed of 30 40 40 kmph likely at many places due to a trough formed near the North-West Bay of Bengal and another trough over Chattisghad. Meanwhile, several parts of the state are receiving widespread rains since morning. 

Wazeed in Mulugu district received maximum rainfall of 10.6 cms till 3 PM today. Several places in Nirmal, Nizamabad, Bhupalpally, Sangareddy, Kamareddy, and Kumaram Bheem Asifabad districts received moderate rainfall till this afternoon.
