On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla unfurled the National Flag and received the ceremonial salute at Lok Bhavan today. Addressing the gathering, he called upon every citizen to actively contribute toward building a developed, self-reliant, and prosperous India, drawing inspiration from the courage, patriotism, and sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters.
Extending his warm greetings to the people of the state and the nation, the Governor highlighted that India’s strength resides in its unity in diversity, which continues to guide the world. He noted that as the world’s largest democracy, India is advancing rapidly toward becoming the third-largest global economy under the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The Governor also paid rich tributes to the armed forces and security personnel guarding the nation’s borders, stating that their constant vigilance and selflessness allow the country to progress fearlessly. Concluding his address, he urged everyone to work collectively with dedication toward realising a healthy, self-reliant, and empowered Telangana as part of the broader vision for a developed nation.
