The Tamil Nadu government has set up a helpline to assist people affected by the fire tragedy in Qatar. Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay today announced an ex gratia of ten lakh rupees each to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.
The Chief Minister said the State Government is taking steps to bring back the mortal remains of the three victims. He said efforts are being coordinated through the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Qatar to facilitate the process.
