Tamil Nadu Government establishes Infrastructure and Construction Corporation

The Tamil Nadu Government has established the Tamil Nadu Infrastructure and Construction Corporation (TNCC) as a wholly owned State Public Sector Undertaking.

The newly formed corporation will execute state government construction works valued at more than 200 crore rupees and develop unused government lands to generate revenue. It will also focus on developing Townships, Industrial Hubs, Tech Parks, IT Cities, and Business Parks, alongside providing professional architectural design and quality control services.

Modelled broadly on the lines of NBCC (India) Limited, TNCC will operate on a commercial Project Management Consultant model to compete with leading private and international firms. All works under the corporation will be allocated through open competitive bidding on the state’s e-procurement portal.

The entity is being set up with an authorised share capital of 15 lakh rupees and an initial paid-up capital of 10 lakh rupees.
