Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C.Joseph Vijay announced further hike of milk procurement price to Rs. 44 per litre in the State. In a suo moto statement in the Assembly today, the Chief Minister said that the increase would benefit the milk producers.

Noting the increase in the price of fodder, he said that the Government will compensate Aavin for the additional amount. It will cost Rs. 60 Crore a month and Rs. 720 Crore a year.It is to be noted that the price of milk procurement was increased from Rs. 38 to Rs.41 last Monday.
