In Tamil Nadu, five persons, including an infant, were killed in an accident at Melur, Madurai district, this morning. They were travelling from Chennai to Tirunelveli when the accident occurred. Their car lost control, hit the median, and hit the vehicle coming from Madurai to Tiruchi in the opposite direction, in which two men were travelling from Madurai to Tiruchi. They suffered severe injuries in the accident and are under treatment at a Government hospital nearby. The Melur Police have filed a case.
