Benchmark domestic equity indices rebounded today. The Sensex advanced 879 points, or 1.23 per cent to close at 72,472. The Nifty gained 289 points, or 1.3 per cent to settle at 22,520.
In the broader market at the National Stock Exchange, the Midcap 100 index rose nearly 1.7% and the Smallcap 100 index added over half a per cent.
