Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary today said that Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) is a strong pillar of the country’s financial and sovereign infrastructure.

 

The Minister said this in a video message during the 21st Award Ceremony of SPMCIL in New Delhi. Highlighting the organization’s role in nation-building, Mr Chaudhary said that the organisation produces banknotes, coins, commemorative coins, security documents, e-passports, and stamp papers for the nation.

 

He also commended SPMCIL’s commercial achievements and its management for fostering a conducive working environment.

 

SPMCIL is a Schedule ‘A’ Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the administrative control of the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
