Special Yoga programmes were organised across Uttar Pradesh today to mark International Yoga Day. Governor, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Chairman of the Legislative Council, and all state ministers participated in yoga sessions in different districts. Government and administrative officials also took part in the programmes being organised in all districts of the state. Governor Anandiben Patel performed yoga at Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the yoga session at Jhansi Fort Ground in Jhansi at 6 am. Local public representatives, along with members of social, literary, cultural and political organisations, also participated in the event. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya joined the yoga programme with the public at Sangam Nose, Triveni, Prayagraj, at 7 am.
Another Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak, participated in the International Yoga Day programme at The Residency Park, Lucknow, at 6 am. The events were aimed at promoting the message of health, wellness and the importance of yoga among people across the state.
