Special traffic arrangements have been put in place in New Delhi during the Monsoon Session of Parliament 2026, which began today. In a social media post, the Delhi Traffic Police said that heavy vehicular movement and traffic restrictions are expected in and around the Parliament complex.
It advised commuters to plan their travel in advance, allow extra time for their journey, and avoid the affected roads and junctions during peak hours. The Traffic Police has also urged commuters to stay updated through its official communication channels for real-time traffic information.
According to the advisory, the public have been advised to avoid roads such as Rafi Marg, Motilal Nehru Marg, Maulana Azad Road, Parliament Street, Ashoka Road, Talkatora Road, Rajendra Prasad Road, Janpath and adjoining stretches, as traffic diversions and congestion are likely in these areas.
