Focusing on the twin objectives of Swachhata and good governance, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is gearing up for Special Campaign 6.0. The Campaign aims to promote cleaner workplaces, expedite the disposal of pending matters and improve efficiency in governance. 

 

The campaign will run from the 2nd to the 31st of October, with special emphasis on the effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste. It will also focus on institutionalising the culture of Swachhata across the Department and its organisations.

 

The campaign will be implemented in two phases. The Preparatory Phase will continue from the 16th of September to the 30th of September, followed by the Implementation Phase from the 2nd to the 31st of October. Special Campaign 6.0 will focus on the twin objectives of Swachhata and good governance. 

 

The Department and its organisations will undertake concerted efforts to achieve the targets identified during the preparatory phase and strengthen the culture of cleanliness, timely disposal and efficient use of public resources as an integral part of everyday governance.
