Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla paid floral tributes at the portrait of former Lok Sabha Speaker G M C Balayogi in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan, on his Birth Anniversary today.
In a social media post, Mr Birla said that G M C Balayogi is an inspiring legacy of parliamentary dignity, impartiality, and democratic values. He added that the tenure of G M C Balayogi as Lok Sabha Speaker is particularly remembered for strengthening parliamentary traditions, upholding the dignity of the House, and commitment to impartial conduct toward all parties. The Lok Sabha Speaker further said that G M C Balayogi’s parliamentary vision, democratic commitment, and dedication to the dignity of institutions will remain forever alive in the memory of the Indian Parliament.
On the occasion, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh, Members of Parliament, former Members and other dignitaries also paid tributes at the portrait of G M C Balayogi.
