In Bihar, six children drowned in floodwaters while taking a bath in Tareta Narayanpur village under Sultanganj police station in Bhagalpur district today. All the deceased children are reportedly between 10 and 12 years of age. They have been identified as residents of Ward Number 27 of Sultanganj Nagar Parishad.
According to local residents, the children had gone to bathe as part of the Karma-Dharma Puja rituals when they ventured into deep water and drowned.
