Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra remains suspended for 4th consecutive day

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra remains suspended for the fourth consecutive day today due to prevailing adverse weather conditions in Katra and the Trikuta Hills. The pilgrimage has been temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure amid inclement weather to ensure the safety of pilgrims travelling along the track to the holy shrine.

The authorities have urged devotees to remain patient and follow official advisories until weather conditions improve and the pilgrimage resumes. Pilgrims have been advised to remain updated through official channels regarding the resumption of the Yatra. The pilgrimage is expected to resume once weather conditions improve and the route is considered safe for movement. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation.

In response to the Yatra suspension, the Shrine Board has made extensive arrangements for stranded pilgrims in Katra and started a free langar, providing freshly prepared food and drinking water to devotees waiting for the yatra to resume. Shelter, medical assistance, and other essential services are also being provided to ensure the comfort and well-being of pilgrims.
