Cases of Shigella infections have been reported across Keralam. State Health Minister K. Muralidharan informed that six people have tested positive in Thiruvananthapuram, two in Kollam, and three in Kozhikode districts. Wayanad district has already reported nine positive cases.

 

The minister said that the situation is under control. Disease prevention and containment measures, along with intensive awareness campaigns, are being carried out in the affected areas under the guidance of the Health Department and local self-government institutions.
