A meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was held today in Ayodhya. During the meeting, several key decisions were taken on temple management, donation system, the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer, filling vacant posts in the Trust, and the reconstitution of the religious committee.
The Trust reiterated that the faith of devotees remains as strong as ever and that the number of visitors to the temple continues to remain steady. The Trust said that the final SIT report has not yet been received and no discussion was held on the matter. A permanent arrangement has also been decided in association with the Mint, an institution under the Reserve Bank of India, to assess the quantity and purity of gold and silver offerings received at the temple. The proposed MoU with the State Bank and the bank’s responsibilities were also discussed in detail.
