A three-storey under-construction building collapsed near Chawri Bazaar Metro Station in Old Delhi this morning. At least 15 people are feared trapped, while several others have been injured.

According to the Delhi Fire Services, a distress call was received at around 9.50 am. Following this, six emergency units, including three water tenders, a water bowser, a Quick Response Vehicle and an Incident Response Team, were rushed to the spot.

A Delhi Fire Services official said that rescue operations are underway. Teams from the Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, Municipal Corporation of Delhi and other agencies are engaged in the rescue operation.
